Merryhill Schools Curriculum

Our Curriculum

The curriculum for Merryhill school lays the groundwork for what students learn, concepts and skills they will acquire, values, and habits they will assimilate. The curriculum is a reflection of Merryhill's philosophy of educating the “thinking child in a constructive learning community.” In addition, it presents a learning continuum for grades Kindergarten through eight. Merryhill’s well-written curriculum guidelines reflect careful research on how children learn and draw upon standards generated by professional associations and agencies.

The Merryhill curriculum contains nine fundamental areas of education, which provide each student with a high quality, individualized educational program. These nine fudementals are Mathematics, Language Arts, Science, Social Studies, Fine Arts, Spanish, Technology, Health and Physical Education.
